Serena Williams had a great Saturday at Wimbledon beating Angelique Kerber 7-5 6-3 in a hard fought match to secure her 22nd singles title. This ties here grand slam total with fellow legend Steffi Graf. This is the 7th time that Serena has held the Wimbledon singles title which only two other players have accomplished in history. In addition to winning the singles title she also won another title in the same day. She teamed up with her sister Venus to win the ladies doubles tournament. That’s quite the afternoon for her, not many player have the focus to play an entire singles and doubles tournament at the same time and win them both. This also shows what a versatile player she is, many great champions are still uncomfortable playing doubles.

At the back end of 34 it doesn’t seem like Serena is slowing down anytime soon. She is one of the most dominate athletes Male or Female, and arguably the greatest women’s tennis player ever. I think Serena still has a few years left of great tennis and can definitely add to her grand slam total.

Serena’s Resume so Far..
